Hanoi exhibitions features President Ho Chi Minh’s footprints in China
VOV.VN - The Ho Chi Minh Museum, in collaboration with the Archive Department of the Party Central Committee’s Office, launched an exhibition titled “Ho Chi Minh’s Footprints in China” in Hanoi on November 11.
The exhibition is part of activities to commemorate the 100th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh’s first visit to China on his revolutionary journey (November 11, 1924 – 2024) and to mark the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and China (1950–2025).
It introduces more than 200 documents and artifacts showcasing the traces left by President Ho in China, highlighting the strong and lasting friendship between the Vietnamese and Chinese peoples. Among the over 200 documents, images, and artifacts on display, many unique items reflect President Ho’s revolutionary activities in China during different periods.
In his opening speech, Director of the Ho Chi Minh Museum Vu Manh Ha emphasized that President Ho Chi Minh, the great leader of the Vietnamese people, was a close friend of the Chinese people.
The president dedicated his entire life to the cause of national liberation for Vietnam and tirelessly strived for global peace and progress. He also made significant contributions to strengthening the friendship between the two countries’ parties and peoples.
Throughout his revolutionary career, China was a place where he visited multiple times, lived for extended periods, and formed lasting friendships with the Chinese people. Many locations in China bear his mark, evoking strong emotions and becoming symbols of the enduring Vietnam-China friendship.
According to Ha, the exhibition aims to convey the message that the steadfast and enduring friendship, built by President Ho Chi Minh of Vietnam, Chairman Mao Zedong of China, and their successors, is a valuable asset and the foundation for future development that must be protected and promoted by the two parties, states and peoples of both Vietnam and China.
“We believe that the thematic exhibition is a practical cultural activity that will have a wide-reaching impact, contributing to strengthening the ‘forever green’ Vietnam-China friendship, as President Ho Chi Minh once said,” said Ha.
The exhibition is scheduled to run through to the end of April 2025.
