Germany to play host to Hoi An Lantern Festival

News of the event was released by the Hoi An municipal People’s Committee during a press conference held on July 14.

The occasion will see specialized Hoi An lanterns in a variety of shapes, sizes, and colours hung throughout the town of Wernigerode.

During the three day festival, craftsmen, artists, and chefs from Hoi An will have a chance to put their skills on display to promote both Vietnamese culture and cuisine to local people in the ancient town in Wernigerode.

The event will also see Vietnamese and German singers take part in performances together.

In addition to the festival, local authorities from both Hoi An and Wernigerode will be introducing projects related to solar power, climate change, and sustainable development to the public.
