First lantern road to light up Hoan Kiem lake pedestrian street
VOV.VN - Hanoi’s first lantern road will open along the pedestrian street as part of the mid-autumn festival program scheduled for September 23 in Ly Thai To flower garden near Hoan Kiem lake, Hanoi.
There will be hundreds of colourful giant lanterns and stars on display along the road, which is promised to be an ideal check in area for families, pedestrians and visitors on the night of the mid-autumn festival.
Diverse activities will be held during the event including comedy, music and circus performances by popular artists such as Xuan Bac and Tu Long, while children will be in with a chance of receiving interesting gifts like traditional folk toys and participating in a flashmob dance on the pedestrian street.
Visitors can call at pavilions selling traditional toys for the mid-autumn festival and join dragon dances, lantern processions and a street carnival through the ancient streets of Hanoi’s Old Quarter.
