German consulate to hold Deutschland-Fest
Deutschland-Fest 2017 will take place at the Saigon Zoo and Botanical Garden on Nguyen Binh Khiem Street in HCMC’s District 1 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on April 22.

The event hosted by the German Consulate General in HCM City is intended to highlight strong cultural ties between Germany and Vietnam.
The festival, which is expected to lure some 3,000 to 5,000 visitors, will feature 25 booths and numerous interesting activities such as art shows and the lucky draw with valuable prizes.
In addition, the upcoming event will have the presence of Vietnamese artists such as Ho Trung Dung, Trung Luong, Vu Nhat Tan, and overseas singer/actor Lam Vissay.
Especially, students from the German faculty of the HCM City University of Social Sciences and Humanities (USSH) will join the event with two performances.
A representative of the German Consulate General in HCM City told the Daily at a press conference on April 19 that the festival is also aimed to capture huge attention of local youths and city residents for increasing cultural exchange activities as well as further deepen the cultural cooperation between the two countries.
To take part in the event, visitors will have to buy a ticket at the zoo with prices of VND50,000 per adult and VND30,000 per child.
