Friendship concert marks 75 years of Vietnam – Romania diplomatic relations

VOV.VN - The Vietnamese Embassy in Romania, in collaboration with the Romanian Ministry of Culture, recently held a friendship concert at the Ion Dacia Theatre in Bucharest to commemorate the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Romania (February 3, 1950 - 2025).

The celebration was attended by representatives from the Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, officials from various ministries, agencies, and businesses, as well as Romanian friends and members of the Vietnamese community in Romania.

In his opening remarks, Ambassador Do Duc Thanh highlighted the enduring and robust relationship between Vietnam and Romania, which has been nurtured over generations and strengthened through shared challenges.

He expressed his hope that 2025 would be a milestone year for bilateral relations to be marked by various cultural, educational, and tourism exchanges to enhance mutual understanding, trust, and comprehensive cooperation across politics, economics, trade, investment, and emerging areas such as digital transformation and renewable energy.

State Secretary for Foreign Affairs Traian Laurentiu Hristea emphasized the historical significance and sustainable development of Vietnam-Romania relations. He underscored the close friendship between the two peoples forged over decades, and praised the achievements in cooperation across various fields, particularly at multilateral forums and international organizations.

Hristea pointed out that moments of mutual support, such as during the COVID-19 pandemic, stand as vivid examples of the solidarity between Vietnam and Romania. He reaffirmed commitments made during the official visit of Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh to Romania in January 2024 to further enhance comprehensive cooperation, contributing to peace and prosperity for both countries and regions.

The Friendship Concert features captivating performances that celebrated Vietnam’s cultural identity and beauty in the context of its development and global integration. The concert was performed by the Symphony Orchestra of students from the National University of Music Bucharest and a special ensemble from the People’s Public Security Art Troupe of Vietnam.
