French piano prodigy Lise de la Salle to perform in Hanoi
VOV.VN - French piano prodigy Lise de la Salle will perform in the “Shades of Paris” concert on May 29 at Ho Guom Opera House in Hanoi.
The concert further explores French music through the contrasts between three musical worlds and the way each composition creates its own aesthetic experience, from youthful energy and refined beauty to emotional depth and symphonic structure.
According to organisers, de la Salle will perform Maurice Ravel’s Piano Concerto in G major, a work that has accompanied her since the early years of her recording career.
In the concerto, her piano part serves not only as a solo voice but also as a dialogue partner with the orchestra, constantly exchanging, reflecting and developing musical ideas.
From the opening jazz-influenced chords, listeners are drawn into a modern Paris that is elegant, intellectual and captivating.
This will be de la Salle’s second performance in Vietnam. In 2018, she performed in Hanoi in a piano duo recital with pianist Thomas Enhco.
De la Salle began studying piano at the age of four. At nine, she gave her first performance broadcast live on Radio France. At 11, she was admitted to the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris, one of the world’s most prestigious and demanding music academies.
Since 2001, she has pursued an international career. Her performances have been heard at leading concert halls across Europe and around the world.
