French film “La Glace et le Ciel” to be screened at L’Espace
The movie “Ice and the Sky” (La Glace et le Ciel) (France, 2013, 113’) by director Bertrand Tavernier will be screened at the L’Espace, 24 Trang Tien Street, Hanoi on April 28.
“Ice and The Sky”, selected to close the 2015 Cannes Film Fest, tells a story about the French glaciologist Claude Lorius. It is a paean to youth, passion and idealism.
Claude Lorius encountered his destiny, aged 23, in the Antarctic.
The film will retrace his life’s journey, from his first steps as a young glaciologist to the crowning moment of his glittering career – winning the Blue Planet Prize, the Nobel of environmental sciences.
