Ethnic market to be held in Hanoi during national holiday

VOV.VN - An ethnic market hailing from the northern border province of Son La will be held at the Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism in the Dong Mo tourism area of Son Tay in Hanoi between April 27 and May 1.

A range of local cuisine and products belonging to the ethnic groups of Son La province including the Mong, Ha Nhi, Si La, Thai, Tay, Dao, and Kho Mu ethnic peoples will be on display.

In addition, a number of art performances are expected to take place to the excitement of those in attendance.

Large groups of ethnic people will perform the traditional festivals of the La Ha and Ha Nhi ethnic groups during the five-day event.

Folk games will also be displayed and held for families to enjoy together.

The event is just one of numerous activities, set to transpire in Hanoi to mark Liberation Day on April 30 and May Day on May 1.
