Duc Phuc’s Intervision 2025 performance tops worldwide music platforms
VOV.VN - Vietnamese pop singer Duc Phuc has attracted global attention after a music video featuring his performance at Intervision 2025 reached top spots on numerous music platforms.
At the grand finale of the Intervision 2025 International Music Contest held in Russia on September 20, Duc Phuc was crowned champion with his powerful rendition of Phu Dong Thien Vuong, a performance featuring vivid imagery of the legendary Saint Giong. His victory marks a historic milestone for Vietnamese music on the world stage.
Within just two days of release, Phu Dong Thien Vuong garnered over 1.3 million views on YouTube, ranking No. 1 on Vietnam’s Trending Videos, No. 4 on Vietnam’s Music Trending, and No. 4 on Germany’s Trending Videos. Duc Phuc’s performance also entered the global Top 29 most popular music videos, a rare achievement for a Vietnamese artist.
In addition, the song appeared in the Trending lists of several countries, including Russia, Australia, Croatia, and the Netherlands.
Intervision, first launched in the 1970s, had been suspended for 30 years. Intervision 2025 marks the revival of this once-celebrated international music competition, with participants from 20 countries and territories.
Duc Phuc, winner of The Voice Vietnam 2015, outshone all competitors to claim the Intervision 2025 crown and a prize of RUB30 million (nearly US$360,000).
