Diverse activities to mark Trang An's 10th anniversary as world heritage site

VOV.VN - The northern province of Ninh Binh is expected to celebrate a decade of being recognised as a world cultural and natural heritage by UNESCO with a wide range of activities taking place throughout the year.

This information was unveiled at a press conference held by the People's Committee of Ninh Binh province.

Upon addressing the event, Tran Song Tung, vice chairman of the Ninh Binh Provincial People's Committee, emphasized that the locality is set to launch diverse activities to strengthen community cohesion, promote stronger cultural exchanges, and elevate the image of the Trang An cultural heritage site to both domestic and international tourists.

At present, Ninh Binh is the only locality in Southeast Asia that possesses mixed cultural and natural heritage.

A broad array of activities will be held this year as part of efforts to mark the special occasion, including the old Tet festival and an international scientific conference.
