Ninh Binh-Trang An Heritage Festival kicks off
VOV.VN - The second Ninh Binh - Trang An Festival officially kicked off in the northern province of Ninh Binh on December 26 evening, featuring a wide range of interesting programmes.
The opening ceremony was an elaborately staged event depicting the magical space of the world cultural and natural heritage site of the Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex.
It also witnessed the participation of an art troupe from Udomxay province in Laos, together with artists and artisans from various cultural regions from around the country.
Addressing the event, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan emphasised that the festival aims to connect heritage sites and inter-regional tourism centers from across the country, as well as boosting cultural exchange activities and promoting heritage values.
She expressed hope that through the festival, Ninh Binh will further prioritise the building of culture and the promotion and conservation of the cultural values of the province as part of efforts to become a centrally-managed city by 2035 and one of the leading localities in the country in developing a unique cultural industry.
This year’s festival consists of major activities demonstrating the connection, convergence, and spread of cultural heritage in the locality and throughout the country as a whole.
