Da Nang unveils 19 national treasures for the first time

VOV.VN - The Cham Sculpture Museum in the central city of Da Nang on November 19 opened a special exhibition titled “National Treasures – Heritage in the Heart of Da Nang”, as part of activities marking the 20th anniversary of Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day (November 23, 2005 –2025).

The first-ever exhibition, which will last until December 25, showcases 14 original national treasures and 2 replicas. The remaining three treasures, due to their connection with heritage sites and strict conservation requirements, are presented through detailed documentation and dedicated exhibition images.

Through the meaning and value of the 19 national treasures on display, the exhibition presents a broader cultural landscape of the new Da Nang, a land shaped by the convergence and interaction of multiple civilizations, including Sa Huynh and Dong Son, as well as ancient kingdoms such as Champa and Dai Viet.

Visitors can also immerse themselves in Cham culture through live demonstrations by traditional artisans, showcasing weaving and pottery techniques, bringing the city’s heritage vividly to life.
