Da Nang displays thousands of archival documents on President Ho Chi Minh
VOV.VN - The Da Nang Library is holding an exhibition featuring thousands of books, photographs and documents on the life and revolutionary career of President Ho Chi Minh to mark the 136th anniversary of his birth (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2026).
The exhibition, themed “Hồ Chí Minh - Đẹp nhất tên Người” (“Ho Chi Minh - The Most Beautiful Name”), is taking place from May 18 to 19 at the Da Nang Library.
The program introduces readers and city residents to valuable books, newspapers, photographs and documents related to President Ho Chi Minh, while helping promote patriotism, revolutionary ideals and reading culture within the community.
The exhibition space features thousands of books and thematic materials on Ho Chi Minh’s life and career, works on Ho Chi Minh’s thought, morality and style, and stories about his affection for the people, especially younger generations.
It also presents photographs and documents reflecting different historical periods in President Ho Chi Minh’s revolutionary activities.
As part of the program, a broad array of activities are being organized, including a flower-offering ceremony in tribute to President Ho Chi Minh at his statue on the library grounds by the Youth Union of the Da Nang People’s Committee, book displays modeled after the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and the Vietnamese lotus flower, screenings of documentary films on his life and revolutionary career, discussions with historical witnesses and the launch of a themed political study campaign titled “Learning from Uncle Ho through stories.”
Leaders of the Da Nang Library said the program aims to create a meaningful cultural space for residents and visitors while helping inspire national pride and encourage officials, Party members and people from all walks of life to study and follow Ho Chi Minh’s thought, morality and style.
