Celebrated Japanese pianist to perform in Hanoi
VOV.VN - Japanese jazz pianist Yamashita Yosuke will enthrall Hanoi audience in a pair of concerts at the Hanoi Opera House on the 1st and 2nd of February.

The concert will also attract the participation of conductor Honna Tetsuji, saxophonist Quyen Van Minh, and the Vietnam National Symphony Orchestra.
Born in 1942, Yamashita is a name familiar to many prestigious international jazz festivals and stages. In 1988 he formed the “New York Trio” and six years later he was invited to play at the ceremony marking 50 years of the famous American jazz label Verve Records, held at Carnegie Hall.
Yamashita has composed music for many Japanese films and in 2003 he was awarded the Imperial Medal of Honour by the Japanese government for his contributions to the arts and academia.
