Bao Loc silk and Pa Co brocade impress fashion lovers at New York Fashion Week
VOV.VN - The “Eternal River” collection by designer Pham Ngoc Anh has captivated audiences at the recent New York Fashion Week Spring – Summer 2026, showcasing the elegance of Bao Loc silk and the distinctive Pa Co brocade.

The collection honours Vietnam’s rich craft heritage while embracing modernity and sustainability, leaving a strong impression on international fashion enthusiasts.
This is the third time she has appeared in one the world’s four leading fashion weeks, following her debuts in London and Paris.
Drawing inspiration from rivers tied to her personal memories, from her childhood along Hanoi’s Red River to her years in Switzerland by the Aare and Limmat, the “Eternal River” collection portrays the endless, flowing cycle of water.

The show spotlighted Vietnam’s traditional handicrafts on the global stage. Bao Loc silk, renowned for its softness, and the beeswax-patterned Pa Co brocade of the highlands were elevated through contemporary design, underscoring the vitality of Vietnam’s craft villages.
The event also highlighted the vital role of artisans in preserving and promoting cultural heritage. By combining traditional techniques with modern aesthetics, the collection both safeguards heritage and introduces Vietnamese cultural values to the world.
New York Fashion Week (NYFW), held each February and September, is among the “Big Four” global fashion events alongside Paris, London, and Milan. The Spring-Summer 2026 edition, taking place from September 11 to 16, unveiled fresh trends and styling directions for the upcoming season.
