New York Fashion Week to honour Vietnamese designer
VOV.VN - Famous Vietnamese designer Do Manh Cuong is set to introduce his brand SIXDO at New York Fashion Week, which is due to take place on September 10 in the United States.
According to the schedule, six Vietnamese beauties and models will take to the catwalk, including Miss Universe 2018 H'Hen Nie, Miss Supranational Asia Ngoc Chau, first runner-up of Miss Universe Vietnam 2008 Vo Hoang Yen, along with models Le Thuy, Kim Dung, and Be Quyen.
The event will be take place at Spring Studios – a venue that many big brands such as Michael Kors, Calvin Klein, and Oscar de la Renta have chosen to do shows at New York Fashion Week.
This marks the first time that Cuong will participate in New York Fashion Week. To prepare for the show, he has collaborated with a famous selection of experts who have worked with big fashion houses like Prada and Louis Vuitton to cast about 30 models for the show.
In the collection Cuong will present his signature fashion language of minimalism, femininity, and luxury.
The 41-year-old designer is also working alongside the top makeup, hair, sound, and lighting teams in New York to ensure that every step is up to standard.
