A.R.T SHOW gathers more than 50 Asian Art Toys artists in Ho Chi Minh City
VOV.VN - The A.R.T SHOW (Alliance of Rising Toys) creative art exhibition officially opened in Ho Chi Minh City in May 2026, bringing together more than 50 influential Art Toys artists from across Asia alongside Vietnamese artists, while marking an initial step toward shaping a professional Art & Art Toys market in Vietnam.
Organized by WE’ART in collaboration with TOYDAY- a Vietnam-based Art Toys community, the event is considered one of the few specialized exhibitions in Vietnam focusing on Art & Art Toys and Toy Custom, a form of artistic collectible toys designed and customized with each artist’s distinct creative identity.
The exhibition is open to the public free of charge from May 5 to May 12, 2026, offering visitors closer access to the Art Toys field, which remains relatively new in Vietnam.
According to the organizers, Art Toys differ from mass-produced toys through their creative value, artistic expression and collectible nature. The event also introduces sofubi, a type of soft vinyl toy produced by hand, painted in multiple layers and released in limited or one-of-a-kind editions.
Beyond the exhibition itself, A.R.T SHOW is designed to connect Vietnamese artists with the international Art Toys community and creative ecosystem.
A representative of WE’ART said Vietnam is entering a promising stage in the development of the Art & Art Toys market, though the sector still lacks professional platforms for connection. Meanwhile, TOYDAY said the country’s Art Toys collector community has existed for years but remains relatively low-profile.
As part of the event, A.R.T SHOW will feature activities for content creators, art students and the public, including artist meetups and signing sessions on May 10, 2026.
