A review of achievements by local representatives at beauty pageants in 2023
VOV.VN - Vietnamese beauties Le Hoang Phuong, Lan Anh, Ngoc Hang, Phuong Nhi, and Thanh Ngan were four of the local representatives who recorded outstanding achievements in international beauty pageants this year.
This comes after Vietnamese representative Le Hoang Phuong was named as the fourth runner up at Miss Grand International 2023 during the grand finale which was held on October 25 in Ho Chi Minh City.
Phuong, 28, also won the best national costume prize, along the entrants from Japan and Nigeria.
The architect and model hails from Khanh Hoa province and stands at 1.76 metres tall with body measurements of 87-63-95. She has previous experience in beauty pageants having clinched a Top 5 finish at Miss Universe Vietnam 2022.
Meanwhile, Lan Anh was honoured with the Miss Earth Water title, equal to that of a runner-up, in the grand final of Miss Earth 2023 pageant which was held on December 22 in Ho Chi Minh City.
Lan Anh, 26, who was crowned Miss Earth Vietnam 2023, is currently residing in the United States and stands at 1.71 metres tall with body measurements of 85-60-9 5cm.
Furthermore, local beauty Le Nguyen Ngoc Hang finished as second-runner-up at Miss Intercontinental 2023, which was held on December 16 in Sharm EI Sheikh in Egypt.
Born in 2003 in Ho Chi Minh City, Hang is currently studying International Business at Western Sydney University in Australia. She is fluent in English and can also communicate comfortably in both Japanese and Korean.
Hang has achieved various awards in karate, such as a black belt second dan at a national level, along with a bronze medal in the National Phu Dong Health Association Athletics Tournament. In addition, she has actively engaged in humanitarian campaigns, especially for the poor and elderly.
Despite not claiming any title at Miss International 2023, Vietnamese representative Phuong Nhi was named among the Top 15 finalists.
Phuong Nhi, 21, stands at 1.70 metres tall and measures 80-57-88. She first rose to prominence by winning the second runner-up title at Miss World Vietnam 2022, thereby meeting the criteria to represent the country at the 2023 Miss International pageant.
However, she was honoured among the Top 20 of the Most Beautiful Face Of The Year, as voted for by international fans on Cutiepiebeautyyy’s Instagram.
Moreover, Vietnamese beauty Thanh Ngan also grabbed an international title after being named the fourth runner-up at Miss Supranational 2023 held in Poland. Ngan was also the winner of the Fan Vote challenge.
Thanh Ngan, 24, from the Mekong Delta province of Soc Trang is 1.75 metres tall with measurements of 85-60-95. She was the second runner-up of Miss Ocean Vietnam 2017 and winner of Miss Can Tho Student 2017 and Leading Stars 2018.
