12 cultural industries spotlighted at exhibition on national achievements

VOV.VN - A vivid showcase of 12 cultural industries with breakthrough highlights will be among the key attractions at the Exhibition on National Achievements, held in celebration of National Day (September 2).

Scheduled to take place from August 28 to September 5 at the Vietnam Exposition Centre in Hanoi, the exhibition will present the nation’s cultural and socio-economic accomplishments over the past 80 years.

Visitors will be able to explore the development of multiple sectors, including advertising, architecture, software and gaming, handicrafts, design, cinema, publishing, fashion, performing arts, fine arts, television and radio, and cultural tourism. The exhibition aims not only to honour Vietnamese cultural values, but also to enhance the country’s image, global presence, and national branding through standout cultural products.

Highlights include a 400-square-metre stage designed for live performances, a 200-seat cinema showcasing acclaimed Vietnamese films, as well as interactive zones and creative product displays offering visitors a dynamic and hands-on cultural experience.

Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ta Quang Dong emphasised that cultural industries are an emerging global trend and a key driver of socio-economic growth. In Vietnam, these industries are gaining strong momentum, gradually becoming essential contributors to sustainable development, cultural preservation, and the nation’s global brand.

For the first time, a large-scale exhibition space equipped with modern technology will spotlight cultural industries as a crucial resource for socio-economic progress. By maximising intellectual property, generating jobs, and producing diverse, high-quality cultural products and services, these industries are expected to play an increasingly vital role.

Deputy Minister Đông also noted the importance of the Vietnam Exposition Centre, now ranked among the 10 largest exhibition complexes worldwide. The venue is expected to serve as a major hub for cultural and artistic events at national, regional, and international levels.
