Autumn of Independence’ Exhibition highlights Vietnam’s August Revolution legacy

VOV.VN - A photo exhibition entitled “Autumn of Independence” is underway at the Son La Prison Special National Relic Site to mark the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day.

On display are 80 photographs and valuable documents that retrace key milestones of the 1945 August Revolution.

The exhibition is divided into two sections. The first, “The Historic Autumn of 1945”, presents Vietnam’s struggle under French colonial rule. The second, “Son La – The Everlasting Spirit of the August Revolution”, highlights the revolutionary movement in the province through rare images and documents.

The event offers visitors a chance to reflect on the nation’s proud history and honour the sacrifices of earlier generations, while also nurturing patriotism and the aspiration to build Son La into a prosperous, cultured, and modern province.

The exhibition runs until September 2.
