(VOV) -The Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) will send its experts to help southern provinces improve business environment from now to 2015.
At a working session with the People’s Committee of southern Binh Duong province on November 4, Kikuchi Tadashi from JICA said this is part of a large cooperation programme between the agency and the Vietnam Ministry of Planning and Investment with a view to enhancing the relationship between Japanese enterprises and authorities in southern provinces.
Binh Duong provincial People’s Committee Vice Chairman Tran Thanh Liem spoke glowing of the Japanese organization's "initiative" which will open up more opportunities and help improve investment environment in Binh Duong and the southern region alike.
Japan has disbursed US$4.7 billion from 255 projects, topping the list of 36 countries and territories investing in Binh Duong.
Most of the projects are involved in electronics, medical equipment, food processing and property, and trade and services.
