The top Vietnamese legislator described Bounnhang Vorachith’s visit as a vivid manifestation of the great friendship, combat alliance and special solidarity between the two Parties, States, armies and peoples.
The ceremony provides both sides with an opportunity to look back on the glorious tradition of the Vietnamese voluntary soldiers and experts in Laos, as well as show profound gratitude towards those who sacrificed their youth for independence and freedom in each nation.
They were major contributors to the close-knit relations between the two Parties, States and peoples, Ngan told her guest.
During the meeting, she also briefed the Lao leader on the Vietnamese legislature’s recent activities, adding that the two legislative bodies are making greater efforts to fast-track the implementation of cooperation contents reached during her visit to Laos in September.
With regard to the construction of the Lao National Assembly House, the Vietnamese side has pledged to ensure the progress and quality of the work, she said.
Bounnhang Vorachith, in turn, showed his elation at the outstanding achievements by the Vietnamese Party, State and people over the past time and emphasized that the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between the two nations have stood the test of time.
He held that his nation will push ahead with the education of its younger generations about the Vietnam – Laos relations, and further efforts to nurture the sound relationship.
Bounnhang Vorachith also thanked the Party, State and people of Vietnam for their valuable support and sentiments given to Laos over the past years.
