The event aims to mark ASEAN’s 50 years of operation and Vietnam’s 22 years of membership.
It is organised by HCMC Department of External Relations and the Consulates General of the 10 Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) member nations.
The 4-day event introduces the lands, peoples, and traditional cultures of the ten ASEAN member states.
Visitors will have an opportunity to join folk games and the process of making ceramic products, and enjoy traditional food and drinks at the event.
Trade and tourism promotion activities are also introduced at 126 pavilions and 50 food stalls of businesses of Vietnam and ASEAN member nations.
The ASEAN village, the first of its kind in HCM City, is expected to attract about 500,000 visitors.
