Thai, Singaporean armies hold joint training

Over 700 Thai and Singaporean soldiers are taking part in a joint military training program in Thailand in a move to promote defense cooperation and ties between the two countries.

The program’s opening ceremony was co-chaired by commander of the 4th Infantry Division Maj Gen Nopporn Ruanchan and Commander of the 8th Singapore Armoured Brigade Col Frederick Choo.
The participating soldiers are getting cross-training and field-training exercises at training camps in Tak and Sukhothai.


During the training, Singaporean army officers are to take military exercises with their Thai counterparts to foster military ties, friendship and cultural understanding.

The activity will continue until February 28.
