Thailand's National Legislative Assembly (NLA) approved amendments to the country's draft constitution on June 18, paving the way for holding a referendum on the new constitution next year.
Since coming to power in May 2014, Prime Minister Prayut Chan-ocha has set up a number of committees in charge of the country’s reforms, including a committee to compile the new constitution.
