Singapore’s air force conducts runway exercise

The Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) conducted an exercise in Singapore on November 13 to enhance its ability to deliver air power from public roads.

The Exercise Torrent, the seventh of its kind, is being conduced at Lim Chu Kang Road in the northwest of Singapore, using new F-15SG aircraft.

Singapore’s Defence Minister Ng Eng Hen said the exercise aims to increase the RSAF operational readiness and demonstrate its confidence.

The most recent runway exercise was carried out in 2008.
