(VOV) -Declaring "history is harsh," Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe expressed his deep regret for Japan’s action to its neighboring countries during World War 2.
Being the first Japanese leader to address a joint meeting of the US Congress, Abe offered solemn condolences for the Americans who died in World War 2.
Prime Minister Abe confirmed Japan’s stance over territorial disputes among countries in Asia.
He called on countries to resolutely respect the principles of peace talks, adding that no country has the right to use force to realize sovereignty claims.
