Indonesian President to visit India
Indonesian President Joko Widodo will begin his three-day official visit to India on December 11, reported the Institute of Defence Study and Analyses (IDSA).
This is the first high-level official visit between two countries since both Indian Prime Minister Narenda Modi and Indonesian President Joko Widodo took office in 2014.
According to the IDSA, the partnership of two countries thrives after the signing of the strategic cooperation deal by former Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono and former Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh as well as the increase of leaders’ visits.
President Widodo’s visit is expected to create momentum for boosting the two countries’ cooperation.
India and Indonesia currently share large demands and potential in Indo-Pacific cooperation, according to the IDSA.
