Donald Trump works to gain trust of voters

VOV.VN - In his Gettysburg Address, on October 22, Republican Presidential candidate Donald Trump outlined what he would do in his first 100 days were he to become US president.

Trump is trying to counter recent allegations that he has sexually abused women.

Donald Trump’s plan covers security, economic and trade issues that he would address in his first 100 days were he to become US President.

Specifics include restrictions on Washington officials becoming lobbyists after they leave office, term limits for members of Congress, the cancellation of all payments to UN climate change programs and the redeployment of those funds to fix US infrastructure, the start of the process of "removing the more than two million criminal, illegal immigrants" - and the denial of visa-free travel to countries who refuse to take back their expelled citizens.

His plan is to create 25 million jobs in 10 years, cut middle-class taxes 35%, reduce college tuition fees, repeal Obamacare, renegotiate NAFTA, withdraw from the Trans-Pacific Partnership, and tighten border controls.

Mr. Trump said he would replace the current administration with a new government of, by and for the people. He said his campaign represents the “change” that Americans want and called on his supporters to dream big.

He said his plan would be a contract between Donald Trump and the American voters.

This is the most detailed plan of Donald Trump’s campaign. The plan covers issues which the Republican candidate has been vague about.

But in his speech, Trump continued to attack the media, domestic rival Hillary Clinton and women who have accused him of sexual harassment, whom he threatened to sue after the election.

Clinton said she was not interested in Donald Trump’s plan. She told reporters that during the 17 days until the election, she will focus on helping Democratic candidates get elected to Congress.

The former Secretary of State is still leading Donald Trump in the polls in key states like North Carolina, Florida, and Virginia. Donald Trump’s campaign manager, Kellyanne Conway, acknowledged that Trump is trailing in the race to the White House.
