(VOV) - Can Tho City’s tourism revenue during this year's nine-day Lunar New Year (Tet) festival skyrocketed 75% on-year to VND70 billion, local authorities have revealed.

Nearly 5,500 domestic and foreign holiday-makers made visits to Dong Van Karst Plateau Geo-Park in the northern province of Ha Giang during the nine-day lunar New Year (Tet) festival, generating over VND5.5 billion (US$235,000) for the tourism sector.

Over 15,000 holiday-makers visited the Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park in the central province of Quang Binh during the first five days of the Year of the Goat (February 19-23), up over 10 percent against the same period last year.
