VNAT launches photo campaign to boost domestic tourism
VOV.VN -The Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT) has announced a tourism promotional campaign aimed at taking advantage of Vietnamese preoccupation with taking selfies of themselves.
According to VNAT, beginning August 20 and running through September 4, instead of people taking selfies of themselves with their own camera they can now stop by a government placed camera on a podium on Thanh Nien road and take a selfie of themselves using it.
The idea isn’t novel and is almost exactly similar to what is found in amusement parks and other recreational tourist destinations around the globe where people can purchase selfies of themselves on a wide variety of rides at parks or with wild animals at zoos and so on.
VNAT said there are plans to expand the project to other locations such as West Lake in Hanoi, Nguyen Hue Street in Ho Chi Minh City and My Khe beach in Danang.
