Vietravel Airlines becomes official carrier of SEA Games 31
VOV.VN - Vietnam’s newest airline, Vietravel Airlines signed an agreement on May 5 with organisers of the 31st SEA Games to become the official airline of the regional sports event.
Under the terms of the agreement, the carrier will sponsor transportation services on its flights as a means of accompanying all athletes in the Vietnamese sports delegation during the event.
Through this sponsorship, Vietravel Airlines wishes to contribute to developing local sporting activities, as well as those in ASEAN member states.
Furthermore, the airline will also co-ordinate with Vietravel Holding's ecosystem to organise a "Walking Tour" in Hanoi for domestic and international athletes during the 31st SEA Games, with the aim of introducing Vietnamese culture, people, and history to international friends.
Vu Duc Bien, general director of Vietravel Airlines, revealed that becoming the official airline for the regional event fits in line with the airline’s development orientations moving forward, adding that the carrier will work closely alongside relevant agencies as it seeks to expand both domestic and international routes moving forward.
As part of the occasion, Vietravel Airlines launched a discounted programme on 10,000 airfares priced from only VND31,000 per ticket, excluding taxes and fees, in order to meet the rising travel demand.
