Vietnamese travelling by group of three allowed to visit Dongxing

VOV.VN - Local authorities of Mong Cai city have recommended that Vietnamese people traveling to Dongxing city of China via the Mong Cai International Border Gate go in groups of three and above.

Entrants to must use travel agencies with tour guides who are capable of handling entry procedures.

Furthermore, citizens from Vietnam, China, and other countries entering the northern neighbour through the Mong Cai International Border Gate must have a negative PCR test certificate made within 48 hours.

As of March 15, the Mong Cai International Border Gate has dealt with entry and exit procedures for more than 118,600 people passing through.

This comes after Mong Cai city launched a free Wi-Fi service system and QRCode scanning points that enable easier access to local tourism information as part of efforts aimed at promoting its tourism activities.

According to Pham Kim Oanh, head of the Culture and Information Division of Mong Cai, the move aims to build the city’s tourism image and provide better services for both visitors and locals. This will be achieved by giving them easier access to the Internet so they can explore information on tourist destinations, accommodation facilities, and tourism service suppliers in the city.

The Mong Cai - Dongxing International Border Gates were officially reopened on January 8, but only allowed Vietnamese and Chinese citizens to return home after being stuck due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Entry and exit activities were completely resumed on February 21, but only for individual guests.

The Chinese Government previously decided to put Vietnam on its pilot list to receive tourists in groups from March 15.
