Vietnam to attend 2023 ASEAN Tourism Forum in Indonesia

VOV.VN - Vietnam will attend the 2023 ASEAN Tourism Forum (ATF) to be held in Yogyakarta city, Indonesia, from February 2-5, according to the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism.

The forum themed ASEAN: A Journey to Wonderful Destinations will be attended by top industry policy makers, practitioners and suppliers of ASEAN-based tourism products and services. It will include dialogues among tourism government bodies and private sector organizations as well as a travel exchange (TRAVEX) among ASEAN exhibitors and international buyers from major travel markets.

Several tourism conferences between ASEAN and its partners, India and Russia, and the ASEAN Tourism Awards 2023 will be held on this occasion.

While in Indonesia, the Vietnamese delegation will hold a press conference to introduce the country’s post-pandemic tourism development policies and market orientation closely linked to the promotion campaign “Live fully in Vietnam.” Businesses will showcase new tourism products and services at TRAVEX - a tourism fair – to promote post-pandemic tourism recovery.

ASEAN, of which Vietnam is a member, is one of the country’s most important tourism markets and partners. In 2019, visitors from other ASEAN member states to Vietnam reached nearly 2.1 million, accounting for about 11.6% of the total number of international visitors to the country. Multilateral cooperation within the ASEAN framework plays an important role in Vietnam’s international cooperation in tourism.
