Vietnam promotes tourism brand at ATF, targets 25 million int’l visitors in 2026
VOV.VN - Vietnam will promote its national tourism brand at the ASEAN Tourism Forum (ATF) 2026 and the TRAVEX international travel trade show in Cebu, the Philippines, from January 28–30, in an effort to attract more visitors and work toward a target of welcoming 25 million international arrivals in 2026.
A delegation from the Vietnam National Authority of Tourism (VNAT), under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, will attend the events to strengthen regional cooperation and showcase Vietnam’s tourism offerings.
Held under the theme “Navigating Our Tourism Future, Together”, ATF is the largest annual tourism cooperation event in ASEAN, rotating among member states. The forum features a series of high-level activities, including ASEAN+3 and ASEAN–India Tourism Ministers, the ASEAN–Russia Tourism Ministers’ Meeting, the ASEAN Tourism Awards, press conferences, and various sideline events.
Within ATF, TRAVEX serves as a key trade exhibition, bringing together tourism authorities, businesses and international buyers.
At its national pavilion, Vietnam will showcase its tourism offerings, marketing the brand “Vietnam – Timeless Charm” alongside destinations and products tailored to ASEAN and key international markets. Featured products include beach and island tourism, cultural and nature-based tourism, city tourism, and niche segments such as golf, medical, wellness and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences & Exhibitions) tourism. A special focus will be placed on promoting the National Tourism Year – Gia Lai 2026.
Vietnam’s tourism industry recorded strong growth in 2025, welcoming nearly 21.2 million international visitors. Asia remained the largest source region, accounting for 78.6% of arrivals, or about 16.6 million visitors, with robust growth from Southeast Asian markets and key Asian markets such as China, the Republic of Korea, the Philippines, Cambodia and Laos.
The government has identified tourism as one of the bright spots of the economy. In 2026, the industry aims to shift from recovery to sustained growth, improved competitiveness and more sustainable development, with a target of 25 million international arrivals.
