Vietnam named as best Asian river cruise destination
VOV.VN - Vietnam has successfully beat Cambodia, China, Thailand, Laos and others to win Asia's best river cruise destination title at the World Cruise Awards 2021, the most prestigious prize in the global cruise industry.
The honour was based on votes cast by an array of tourism experts and readers from across the world.
Vietnam boasts a coastline stretching 3,260 km and has a dense river network made up of a total of 2,360 rivers. Recent years has seen luxury river cruise tours go to famous attractions and ancient temples which allow guests to enjoy an interesting experience that should not be missed while visiting the country.
Some of the places for cruise tours are Cai Rang and Phong Dien floating markets where visitors can explore local people’s daily life, witness trade exchanges and sample traditional dishes right on the boat.
The World Cruise Awards are a sister event of the World Travel Awards and serve to recognise, reward, and celebrate excellence in the global cruise industry.
Vietnam was named as Asia's Leading Destination 2021 and Asia's Leading Sustainable Tourism Destination 2021 at the World Travel Awards.
