Vietnam International Travel Mart makes calls for environmental protection
VOV.VN - The upcoming Vietnam International Travel Mart (VITM) looks set to launch a wide range of eco-tourism and agricultural product at preferential prices in late March.
Under the theme of green tourism, travel companies will be responding to the 2030 sustainable development strategy set out by the United Nations, as well as offering a series of promotional programs at the event.
Accordingly, travel businesses will advertise new eco-tourism and agricultural products at the event. Several of the pavilions themselves will be designed out of environmental-friendly materials.
On March 27, the organizing board will invite 1,000 delegates to participate in a forum which will be used to share experience and initiatives to further promote green tourism.
In recent years, several travel companies such as Tien Phong Travel, TransViet, and Vietravel have launched a number of campaigns calling on visitors to be conscious of the environment by not littering, not using nylon bags, and not wasting power or water resources.
