Vietnam dubbed as underappreciated gem in East Asia

VOV.VN - The Travel Magazine of Canada has dubbed Vietnam as a gorgeous and underappreciated gem in East Asia thanks to its reputation as one of the calmest places in the world.

Accordingly, the magazine ranked Vietnam seventh out of the 10 best countries in East Asia for foreigners to visit.

“Notwithstanding the country's war wounds, Vietnam thrives with youthful vitality; its paddy fields and floating marketplaces only add to its attraction,” The Travel said.

It stressed that the stunning natural beauty and deep history, which is accessible through numerous historical monuments and a vibrant culture, serve to make Vietnam one of the best places to visit throughout Southeast Asia.

The magazine also suggested that visitors should not miss out on trying Hanoi's Pho noodles and discovering many tourist attractions, including the karst islands of Ha Long Bay, the caves of Phong Nha, and the Mekong River.

Rounding off the list of the top 10 best countries in East Asia is Mongolia, Malaysia, Japan, Indonesia, Thailand, Laos, the Republic of Korea, the Philippines, and Singapore.
