Vietnam among top destinations for repeat Indian travelers
VOV.VN - Online travel platform Agoda has revealed that Vietnam, Thailand, and Indonesia were among the three top destinations which Indian travelers are most keen to return to after visiting.
According to Agoda’s latest Return Visitor Ranking released on August 28, 67% of surveyed Indian travelers shared that they wish to come back to their favourite destinations for reasons such as ‘Local Cuisine’, ‘Ease of Travel’, and ‘Affordability’.
Meanwhile, according to details given by the travel agency, 58% of repeat tourists have visited their favourite destinations between one to three times over the past decade. In addition, 4% of travelers have even visited their favourite destinations 10 times or more, the survey noted.
“While some make it a habit to globetrot, others find pleasure in revisiting their favorite destinations. Agoda’s Return Visitor Ranking shows that for Indian travelers, Thailand, Vietnam, and Bali are more than just destinations, they are experiences that travelers crave to relive,” says Krisha Rathi, director for South Asia and the Maldives of Agoda.
The survey also highlighted the importance of hospitality, with three out of every 10 Indian travelers noting that friendly locals are a key factor in their decision to return.
For Asian travelers, Japan, Thailand, and Vietnam, have become the top destinations that they wish to revisit, with 44% of them saying that the ease of travel is the main motivation behind their return.
Agoda’s survey was conducted from August 1 to August 19, with over 4,000 participants from 10 markets, including Indonesia, India, Japan, the Republic of Korea, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan (China), Thailand, and Vietnam.
