Vietnam Airlines to launch daily direct Da Nang-Singapore air link
VOV.VN - Passengers from the central city of Da Nang will be able to fly directly to Singapore every day on Vietnam Airlines services, starting November 17, bringing the carrier's total return flight frequency between Vietnam and Singapore to 42 per week.
The Da Nang-Singapore air route is operated with an Airbus A321 aircraft, with flights departing Da Nang at 15:00 and return legs departing Singapore at 19:45 (local time). Currently, Vietnam Airlines operates 14 return flights per week between Hanoi and Singapore, and 21 between Ho Chi Minh City and Singapore.
Singapore is one of Vietnam's key international visitor markets in Southeast Asia. Data for the nine-month span of 2026 shows that tourist arrivals from the city island state to Vietnam increased by 29.8% compared to the same period last year.
Among them, Da Nang is an attractive stopover for Singaporean tourists with prominent natural landscapes such as Son Tra peninsula, Ngu Hanh Son, Ba Na, and beautiful beaches, along with convenient connections to famous destinations including the ancient town of Hoi An, My Son sanctuary, and the former capital of Hue.
Da Nang's strengths in beach tourism, resort stays, and event organization help the city attract various groups of visitors. The city is also developing the Vietnam International Financial Centre, opening up further trade prospects and travel demand. The direct air route connecting Da Nang with Singapore, a regional tourism and commercial center, adds options for both leisure and business travelers.
Nguyen Quang Trung, Deputy General Director of Vietnam Airlines, said "Da Nang has its own unique appeal and serves as a gateway for travelers to continue their journey to the cultural and heritage destinations of the central region. We expect that the direct route will make travel between Singapore and the region more convenient, enabling more tourists to choose the central region on their journey to Vietnam"
