Vietnam Airlines to increase flights to Indonesia for football fans

The airline will conduct two direct flights to Jakarta from Hanoi and the central city of Da Nang, and add another return flight between Ho Chi Minh City and the Indonesian capital city, raising the total number of flights between the two countries into four. All the flights will use A321 aircraft.

It will also coordinate with several travel companies in Hanoi, Da Nang and HCM City to offer package tours to Indonesia on the day. 

Vietnam won a ticket to the semifinals of the ongoing ASIAD 2018 after defeating Syria 1-0 in the quarterfinal match on August 27. Vietnam will meet the RoK in the semifinals at 4 pm on August 29. 

The Asian Games is the world’s second biggest multiple sports event (after the Olympics). This year’s edition, held in Jakarta and Palembang, Indonesia, has drawn 16,000 competitors and officials from 45 countries and territories.
