Vietnam Airlines to carry Tet peach and apricot branches on domestic flights
VOV.VN- National flag carrier Vietnam Airlines has begun accepting peach and apricot branches for transport as checked baggage on domestic flights to meet passenger demand during the Lunar New Year (Tet) holiday of the Year of the Horse 2026, with the service running through March 3, 2026.
The transport of peach and apricot branches applies to all domestic flights operated by Vietnam Airlines and Pacific Airlines during the Tet peak period. Each passenger is allowed to carry a maximum of one bundle of peach or apricot branches as checked baggage.
Each bundle must be securely tied, with maximum dimensions of 150 x 40 x 40 cm and no more than two branches per bundle. The transport fee is set at VND 450,000 per bundle, excluding value-added tax.
Passengers are required to purchase the service in advance through Vietnam Airlines’ official sales channels, including ticket offices and authorized agents. In cases where the service is not confirmed in the passenger reservation system, peach and apricot branches may be transported as cargo in accordance with regulations.
During the Tet holiday peak of 2026, Vietnam Airlines Group will add approximately 60,000 seats through nearly 300 additional flights, focusing on the period from February 9 to March 3, 2026, to meet rising travel demand nationwide.
