Vietnam Airlines set to open two new air routes to Bali, Phuket
VOV.VN - National flag carrier Vietnam Airlines has announced a plan to launch two new air routes from October 27 connecting HCM City with two of the region’s most famous tourist destinations, Bali in Indonesia, and Phuket in Thailand.
Flights are scheduled to depart from Ho Chi Minh City at 11:10 and from from Bali at 16:50 every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Sunday.
The air route to Bali represents the second one hosted by Vietnam Airlines which links the nation to Indonesia, after the Ho Chi Minh City-Jakarta route came into operation from December 2012 with a frequency of seven flights per week.
On the new Ho Chi Minh City-Phuket route, the airline is set to operate three flights per week, with departures from Ho Chi Minh City taking place at 15:50 and from Phuket at 18:40 on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.
The number of flights operating on this route are expected to increase to seven flights per week from the end of March 2020.
Aside from these two new routes, the carrier is also planning to re-open another one connecting the central coastal city of Danang to Bangkok, Thailand, from October 27. Departures will take place daily from Da Nang at 15:20 and from Bangkok at 18:00.
The airline will utilise the modern Airbus A321 aircraft on its new air routes, whilst it will also launch a promotional program that will offer customers a 50 per cent discount on return tickets.
From September 20 to November 10, passengers will be able to purchase round-trip tickets on the Ho Chi Minh City–Phuket route with a starting price from just US$19 (VND455,000), and on the Ho Chi Minh City-Bali route from just US$69 or VND1,650, 000.
From September 20 to November 30, return tickets on the Da Nang-Bangkok route will also enjoy discounted rates with prices starting from US$15 or VND 360,000.
Promotional tickets will be accompanied by conditions regarding the departure time and exclude taxes and fees.
