Vietnam Airlines Group to increase flights during April 30-May 1 holiday

VOV.VN - Vietnam Airlines Group comprising Vietnam Airlines, Pacific Airlines, and Vasco plans to offer nearly 1.12 million seats on domestic and international routes during the peak travel period of the Hung Kings’ Commemoration Day and the April 30–May 1 holiday, marking a 15.5% increase on-year.

On its domestic network, Vietnam Airlines Group will operate more than 3,800 flights, providing over 730,000 seats, up 13.3% in flights and 16% in capacity year on year. The additional capacity will be primarily allocated to high-demand routes connecting major economic hubs and key tourist destinations.

Notably, seat capacity on trunk routes linking Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and Da Nang will increase by nearly 30% compared to normal days, while the Hanoi–Ho Chi Minh City route alone will see a 12% rise.

Similarly, services to popular tourist destinations will be strengthened. Routes from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to Nha Trang and Phu Quoc are expected to increase by nearly 20%, while those to Hue and Quy Nhon will grow by an average of over 5% compared to regular schedules.

During the holiday period, including the three-day Hung Kings’ Commemoration and the four-day Reunification Day (April 30) and International Workers’ Day (May 1) break, the Group will maintain a stable flight network, alongside adding services to meet rising travel demand.
