Vietnam Airlines adds new flights to Taiwan, Singapore
VOV.VN - Vietnam Airlines will add four flights per week on routes connecting HCM city to Singapore and HCM City to Taipei (Taiwan) from March 27 to meet demand as Taiwan and Singapore become popular destinations for Vietnamese tourists.
Flights to Taipei will take off at 2.05am on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday, and return flights will leave Taipei at 10.10pm on the same days.
Beginning from March 27, Vietnam Airlines will now have 11 flights per week between HCM City and Taipei and 25 flights between HCM City and Singapore. It will use its fleet of Airbus A321 for all flights, providing international four-star services.
To celebrate the expansion, from now to June 30, the carrier will offer discounted tickets on the routes with return tickets to Singapore costing from VND2.79 million and to Taipei from VND4.56 million (including taxes and fees).
Members of Gold Lotus who fly to Singapore and Taipei from March 25 to April 25 will earn between 500-1,500 bonus miles.
As Asian dragons, Taiwan and Singapore have become favourite destinations of Vietnamese visitors. The number of Vietnamese tourists visiting Taiwan increased by more than 90% in the first two months of 2017. Singapore received more than 530,000 Vietnamese visitors last year, a year-on-year increase of 13.2%.
