Vietkings announces top 20 unique tours in Vietnam

VOV.VN - The Vietnam Records Organisation (VietKings) has announced a list of the top 20 unique travel experiences in Vietnam, with the aim of popularising the country’s tourism to both local and domestic visitors.

According to Le Tran Truong An, general director of VietKings, the local experiences are published once a year and are based on the numerous opinions and perspectives of experts at the council of records.

“Our main goal is to stimulate tourism and honour the various unique values of Vietnam as well as local people,” said An.

An animal release tour named ‘Coming Home’ in Cuc Phuong National Park topped the list, with illegally trafficked animals such as birds, monkeys, reptiles, wild cats, and civets to be returned into the forest during the tour. Visitors are encouraged to donate to the park to contribute to its preservation work.

A helicopter tour over Ho Chi Minh City, as well as an expedition into Son Doong cave, the largest in the world, in Quang Binh province were also included in the list.

Other travel experiences include a tour to witness sea turtles laying eggs on Bay Canh Island in Ba Ria-Vung Tau province, community-based tourism in Ca Mau, a night tour of Hanoi's Thang Long Imperial Citadel in Hanoi, and nightlife watching in Nam Cat Tien National Park in the southeastern province of Dong Nai.

This is along with a tour to visit the grave of heroine Vo Thi Sau at Hang Duong Cemetery on Con Dao island, a Central Heritage Road Tour in the north-central province of Thanh Hoa, a French Architecture Walking Tour in Hanoi, a Cloud Hunting Tour in Mau Son mountain, a tour of Vu Dai village in the northern province of Ha Nam, and the Cu Chi Tunnels Tour.
