VietJet launches Ho Chi Minh City – Brisbane air route

VOV.VN - Budget airline VietJet on June 16 launched a direct air route connecting Ho Chi Minh City (Vietnam) and Brisbane (Australia) to further tap into the potential of the Australian aviation market.

Brisbane is the third Australian city that VietJet has operated direct flights, after Melbourne and Sydney. It is also the first route connecting Vietnam to Brisbane and Queensland state.

The airline has planned to operate two round-trip flight every week on Monday and Friday, using wide-body A330s and offering unlimited promotions.

The new route will shorten the traveling time and create favourable conditions for people and tourists to fly between Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam’s leading economic and cultural center, and Brisbane, Australia’s third largest city.

It is expected to promote trade and tourism cooperation between Vietnam and Australia, and to expand VietJet’s flight network to the eastern part of Australia, with eight round-trip flights to/from Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.
