Low-cost carrier Vietjet Air unveiled on June 17 that it had signed a US$60-million credit packet with BNP Paribas, a French bank, to buy six Airbus A32 planes at the ongoing Paris Air Show.
Vietjet Air Deputy Director Dinh Viet Phuong said the signing is a new progress in the two sides’ partnership, which has produced fine outcomes in recent years.
Earlier, BNP Paribas consulted Vietjet Air about purchase-and-rent transactions of 100 aircrafts with Airbus.
Besides the credit deal, the Vietnamese airline also inked a US$1.5-billion insurance package for its fleet.
