US publication reveals attractive journey to Hoi An for US$1,000

VOV.VN - Writer Nick Hilden recently released an article in lifestyle and culture publication The Manual of the United States, introducing an attractive journey to Hoi An Ancient Town in Vietnam’s central Quang Nam province for just US$1,000.

According to Hilden, Vietnam has emerged from its war-torn past to become a popular destination throughout Southeast Asia.

“With its gorgeously diverse landscapes, friendly, welcoming people, abundance of rich cultural experiences, low costs, and what I think just might be the best food in the world, it’s no wonder that the country has garnered so much attention in recent years,” he noted.

Among the country's most popular destinations, the writer added that Hoi An is quickly gaining recognition as one of the top wellness destinations.

He outlined in his article that with US$1,000 holiday-goers will be able to stay at luxury resorts, such as Anantara, where they will pay for a supreme level of serenity, instead of staying in one of the many cheap hotels via Airbnbs.

Moreover, if visitors are looking to eat healthy then Hoi An can deliver as local people’s typical diet features plenty of fish and seafood.

He shared that holiday-goers can simply spend their time walking around markets, alleys, and canals, taking in the unique Hoi An aesthetic and shopping for random mementos to bring home.

“You should also be prepared to hit up the many, many tailors, each of which is affordable, offers a vast selection of styles and options, and can custom fit any piece of clothing, shoe, or leather goods within 24 hours, and often much faster than that,” he stressed.

The author also suggested that travelers should rent a scooter or motorbike from Hoi An Motorbike Rental and move to the Marble Mountains about about 20 minutes north, or go another 20 minutes further north just past Da Nang to the forests around Monkey Mountain.

“Here you’ll find a series of lush jungle trails replete with, as the name suggests, monkeys. There’s also the stunning, looming, 10-story-tall Lady Buddha statue,” the writer added.

“Beyond that, there are beaches lining the coast, many of which offer plenty of sun and swimming. An Bang is the most popular and convenient beach, located 10 minutes north of Hoi An,” he concluded.
