Two more cruise ships bring 3,400 passengers to Khanh Hoa
VOV.VN - Vietnam’s central coastal province of Khanh Hoa on February 1 welcomed two international cruise ships carrying a total of about 3,400 tourists, as cruise tourism continues to rebound strongly.
The Bahamas-flagged Sirena arrived at Cam Ranh International Port in the morning with around 600 passengers on board. Visitors were taken on tours to local cultural and historical sites, including the Po Nagar Cham Towers, Nha Trang Railway Station, and Dam Market, as well as rural areas around the city.
Sirena later departed for Quang Ninh province in northern Vietnam, continuing its itinerary.
At noon, the Italy-flagged Costa Serena anchored in Nha Trang Bay, bringing 2,800 passengers, mainly from Europe and Hong Kong (China), ashore at Ana Marina International Marina. Tourists visited attractions such as Long Son Pagoda, the Po Nagar Cham Towers, Nha Trang Stone Church, Dam Market, Thap Tram Huong Square and Nha Trang Beach Park.
Costa Serena then sailed on to Phu My Port in Ho Chi Minh City.
Khanh Hoa has received about 10 international cruise ships with nearly 18,000 passengers so far this year, the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism said. The province expects to welcome another 31 international cruise calls in 2026.
Khanh Hoa aims to attract 18.8 million visitors this year, including 6.3 million international tourists.
